Community Guidelines

How Members are expected to conduct themselves on Roohly.

Last updated: 12 July 2026

Roohly exists for one purpose: to help Muslim men and women find a spouse for a lawful, honourable marriage. These Guidelines set out the standard of conduct expected of every Member. They form part of our Terms of Service, and breach of them may result in removal from the Platform.

1. Our Purpose — Stated Plainly

Roohly is a matrimonial platform. It is not a dating application.

Every Member joins on the express understanding that the purpose of any contact made here is to explore the possibility of nikah. Any use of Roohly for flirtation, casual friendship, romantic pastime, or any association outside the bounds of lawful marriage is a serious breach of these Guidelines and of the trust of the entire community.

2. What We Expect of You

Be truthful. Your age, marital status, sect, education, occupation, income, health, nationality, and immigration status must be stated honestly. A marriage founded on a false profile is a wrong done to a family.

Be modest. Photographs must be decent and appropriate. Conversation must be respectful, purposeful, and free of anything immodest or suggestive.

Be purposeful. Contact another Member only if you are seriously considering marriage. If you conclude that a Member is not a suitable match, say so politely and move on.

Be respectful of refusal. If a Member declines your interest, does not reply, or blocks you, that is a complete answer. Do not persist.

Involve your family. We strongly encourage you to bring your parents, guardian, or wali into the process at an early stage.

Protect privacy. Do not share another Member's photographs, information, or messages with anyone. Do not screenshot or circulate profiles.

3. What Is Strictly Prohibited

The following will result in immediate removal, and, where warranted, referral to law-enforcement authorities:

4. Enforcement

Depending on the severity and history of the breach, we may:

  1. Issue a warning;
  2. Restrict features (for example, disable messaging);
  3. Remove the offending content;
  4. Suspend the account pending investigation;
  5. Permanently terminate the account and block re-registration, with no refund of any fee;
  6. Preserve evidence and report the matter to the relevant law-enforcement authority.

You may appeal a decision once, in writing, to info@roohly.com within fourteen (14) days.

5. Report Abuse

Every profile and every conversation carries a Report and Block control. Reporting is confidential; we do not disclose the identity of a reporter to the Member reported. See our Safety & Reporting page for red flags to watch for and how to report a Member.

To report urgently, email info@roohly.com with the profile ID, a description, and any screenshots.

If you believe you are in immediate danger, contact the police (15) or the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency before contacting us.
